AACC students, faculty, and staff; faculty and students from other colleges; and county residents and workers age 16 and older may borrow materials from Truxal Library. Protecting the rights of users to view and read materials without fear of intrusion, 恐吓或报复是图书馆的核心价值, and Truxal Library protects the privacy and confidentiality of its users in a number of ways. 机密记录包括, 但不限于:流通记录, 馆际互借请求, 登记记录, reference requests, and catalog, 数据库和互联网搜索. Library circulation records and other records identifying the names of library users are confidential and are prohibited from inspection, use, or disclosure, in accordance with Maryland law (Annotated Code of Maryland, 教育法第23-107条). Such records shall not be made available except pursuant to a lawful court order, search warrant, or subpoena. Requests for confidential library circulation records from a federal, state or local enforcement agency shall be referred to the Library Director.

Library users are expected to be reasonably quiet and to refrain from cell phone use, 在图书馆内吸烟或使用其他烟草制品.

偷书或损坏书的人, 视听材料, or other library property may lose their library privileges and be legally prosecuted on misdemeanor charges according to Article ED section 23-408 of the Annotated Code of Maryland. Users may be required to show all books in their possession to staff as they leave the library.
